churchTrouble ensued in the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Makurdi Benue state, yesterday, 3rd September, 2014 during their monthly Power Night program when two women engaged themselves in a heated fight over allegation of witchcraft.

DailyPost gathered that fight broke out when an unidentified woman who was in solemn reflection sudden jumped up, violently attacking another woman identified simply as Christy, shouting on top of her voice that it had been revealed to her that she was a witch. Despite attempt by the congregation to stop her from further confronting Christy, she held on to her, insisting that she was going to expose her witch craft before the crowd. She said ” Christy is the cause of many problems in people’s lives. She has been destroying people’s families, enough is enough’’ the woman shouted.

To the surprise of all worshipers present, the accused woman also responded violently, tearing her accuser’s cloth inside the church at the course of the scuffle.

The worship session was abruptly interrupted as other worshipers intervened to bring the feud to an end. They were subsequently taken outside, apparently for peace making and counselling.

One of the members who pleaded anonymity told DailyPost that it is possible that a spirit ministered to the woman in her prayers for her to have behaved in the manner she did. ” I just believe she was under the influence of the holy ghost. She couldn’t have accused the woman falsely when they just met in church,” the church member said.

Another member told DailyPost thus; ‘’The woman who said sister Christy is a witch is probably a new member because I have never seen her in this church before, so I don’t know her name’’ he said.
