2012 French Open: Rafael Nadal arrived in Paris
World No. 2 Rafael Nadal has arrived here in Paris, where he also reached Roland Garros to take first training session on centre court on Thursday, 24th May, 2012.
King of Clay Nadal is looking very confident to win seventh French Open championship at Roland Garros next month. Spaniard said he is very happy to return back to Roland Garros, after winning three clay courts titles at Monte-Carlo, Barcelona and Rome Masters. Nadal also thrashed World No. 1 Novak Djokovic twice this year’s championship finals at Monte-Carlo and Rome Masters so far.
25-year-old Nadal has equaled Bjorn Borg’s six French Open titles, where he will face tough challenge against Djokovic and his best rival Roger Federer. Spanish top seed has been working hard along with his uncle and coach Toni Nadal and also practiced with Francesc Munoz, who was a young tennis player from Manacor.
Nadal is considered to be huge favorite at the French Open 2012, where he has been seed as No. 2 ahead of Novak Djokovic as No. 1 seed respectively. Toni Nadal insists that, Nadal has won all clay court tournaments so far, expect Madrid Masters, which was not a clay court. He added Nadal has return back to top form and can give best competition for Djokovic, Federer and David Ferrer.
