2015: Igbo elders ready to back Oduah for Senate
Elders of Anambra North Senatorial Zone of Anambra State and town union leaders in the zone have disclosed that they might settle for former Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah to represent them in the Senate in 2015.
The elders and town union leaders made this disclosure during a consultative forum in Onitsha.
According to them, Oduah was sacked because she brought an international airport to Igboland and they might consider paying her back for the good works she did for Ndigbo during her days as a minister.
The elders and town union leaders, who spoke through Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Elder Chris Eluemuno, Sylvester Odife Jnr., Nwachukwu Nwosu, Sylvanus Ohaemesi and Vin Obi, added that since the former minister could perform well as the best Aviation Minister the country ever had, she could do better in the Senate.
That seat is currently occupied by Mrs. Margery Okadigbo, wife of late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, a former Senate President.
The zone is made up of seven local government areas, including Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Anambra East, Anambra West, Oyi, Ayameluma and Ogbaru.
