The Mandinaba Academy Football Club secured its first win in the Kuloro nawettan, following a 1-0 defeat of Kombo Tujina on Sunday. KWT was earlier forced to settle for a share of the spoils with Bonto on Saturday.

In the keenly-contested game, the talented youngsters from the ‘Greenland’ of Mandinaba were forced to dig deep to secure the win with Modou Lamin Jammeh, scoring the game’s only goal in the 24th minute. Tujina pressed hard for an equaliser in the second half, but all efforts proved futile.

In the final game of the week, KWT thought they had secured all three points when Abdoulie Fofana scored to give them a 53rd minute lead, but Lamin Bojang scored in the 83rd minute to ensure a share of the spoils.

Bonto’s reserve goalkeeper, Omar Bojang who did not make the team having spent the entire game on the substitute’s bench was given a straight red card deep into stoppage time for “unsporting behaviour.”
