THE General Overseer (GO) of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, will hold a special prayer and thanksgiving service for firstborn children on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at the National Headquarters, 1-9, Redemption Way, Ebutte-Metta, Lagos. Adeboye made this known at a press conference at the Conference Hall of the National Headquarters, Throne of Grace, Ebutte-Metta, Lagos. The programme, tagged: ‘Born to excel’, will bring together about 10,000 Christian faithful from across the country. It will feature prayers, bible teaching, song rendition and prophetic ministration. Adeboye, who was represented by the Assistant Pastor in Charge of Lagos Province 1, (Corporate Social Responsibility), Pastor Samuel Olaniyan, said that the purpose of the programme is to offer special prayers for the recovering of destinies of first-borns in Nigeria. According to him, firstborns occupy a special place in the family, and is supposed to be the spiritual head, while others look up to him for guidance, direction and mentoring. But they are usually marked down by the devil to scuttle their destiny and reduce them to nothing.
