Ivory Coast plan to make changes against Algeria, but are yet to decide whether star striker Didier Drogba will return to the starting side.

Drogba, 34, was a substitute for the victory against Tunisia after a lacklustre display in the Elephants’s opening Group D fixture against Togo.

With the Ivory Coast through to the knockout stages, head coach Sabri Lamouchi is set to rotate his squad.

Algeria, who are already eliminated, have not reported any new injuries.

Ivory Coast head coach Sabri Lamouchi:

“I still haven’t decided who will play, but definitely we will see new faces in the line-up against Algeria.

“Because of the situation we are in, I’ll be able to use some of our youngsters.”
