113′
The ball is lifted in towards Gyan, but he’s pulled up for a foul on Koulibaly. An ongoing battle between the two player’s, it seems.

111′
Bance charges through towards the Ghana 18 yard box and scoops the ball near post, but Diakite palms behind for a corner. Kabore picks out Kone at the back post and nods back for Bance, who volleys on target and past Dauda. However, Afful is well positioned on the line and clears over the bar. Superb defending.

110′
Just 10 minutes to go in extra time now with Gyan looking hurt after being caught by Koulibaly following the coming together between the two.

108′
Panandetiguiri is high up the pitch again and he plays across to Pitroipa. Instead of shooting, he opens up the angle for Bance, but he blasts over from just inside the 18 yard box.

106′
And we’re underway for the second half of extra time and Burkina Faso win an early corner following some great work by Panandetiguiri. Kabore takes, but Ghana come away with the ball.

105′
Nakoulma thinks he’s won it for Burkina Faso with the ball bouncing. He taps the ball over Dauda and into the back of the net, only for the referee to harshly blow for a free kick before signalling the end of the first half of extra time. Very, very harsh on Burkina Faso.

105′
Atsu lifts a free kick towards the back post, but the ball evades Vorsah and Panandetiguiri comes away with the ball.

104′
At the other end, Bance works superbly to surge through the Ghana backline. He cuts onto his right, but lacks the composure he showed for his goal and fires over from the edge of the 18 yard box.

103′
Atsu cuts onto his left on the right hand side and spectacularly goes for goal from distance, but the ball is blocked by Koulibaly and rolls out for a throw in.

102′

98′
Burkina Faso are really going for it this half, but see a good attack break down as Traore is ushered out of play.

96′
Asante and Gyan link up well before the Burkina Faso defence rob the ball off the former. Afful is free on the right side and retrieves before smashing his effort, unexpectedly, goalbound which forces Diakite to push his effort over the bar for a corner.

94′
Some impressive pressure from substitute Traore earns Burkina Faso a throw in deep inside the Ghana half, but the danger is cleared.

92′
Badu plays into Gyan, who turns too quickly and slips on the pitch. He looks to the referee who tells him to get up and play on.

90′
And we’re underway again for the first half of extra time here at the Mbombela Stadium.

The players will need to find some extra energy from somewhere – we have an extra 30 minutes coming up.

90′
And the referee blows for full time and we’re level here at the Mbombela Stadium. Extra time coming up shortly.

90′
There are to be three minutes of added time on top the 90 minutes, but Koffi is down. The Burkina Faso full-back is to be stretchered off late on.

89′
Diakite and Koffi miss communicate at the back as the latter heads over the former before clearing for a throw in. The Burkina Faso ‘keeper isn’t at all happy with his right back after that.

88′
Kone plays over the top for Nakoulma, but the ball bounces through to Dauda to avert the danger.

86′
Just four minutes to go now and it’s Ghana who want to end this encounter the stronger and net a last gasp winner. However, you’d be foolish to write off Burkina Faso just yet, who look dangerous on the counter attack.

84′
Scramble here at the Mbombela as Atsu goes for goal from the edge of the box. Diakite parries away, only for Badu to recover and play back for Afful, but his header is blocked. Atsu again goes for goal with an overhead kick but the Burkina Faso defence can finally clear the danger.

82′
Ghana win a corner at the other end, but the opportunity to take the initiative goes begging and Burkina Faso can clear.

81′
Nakoulma and Pitroipa play an exquisite one-two with one another, but the latter isn’t expecting a return and the chance goes begging.

80′
Kabore delivers to the back post looking for Bance, but his cross has too much on it and the Burkina Faso man heads against his own arm and out for a Ghana goal kick.

79′
Substitute Boateng looks to shut out Kabore, but concedes a free kick in the process.
77′
Replays show Gyan was climbing somewhat on Koulibaly. The Burkina Faso defender didn’t like and kicked out at the Ghana striker.

78′
Yellow Card P. Koulibaly

76′
Atsu is luckily played in by Badu, despite the latter looking for Gyan. However, the Ghana winger can’t quite get his shot away and the ball is cleared for a corner. After the Burkina Faso defence clear, Gyan connects expertly from Mubarak’s cross, but heads just over.

73′
Koffi drives forward and picks out an superb outside the boot pass for Bance, before the striker goes to ground clutching his head, unintentionally. There have been some superb cross field passes this evening, it has to be said.

72′
Burkina Faso have a free kick around the 30 yard mark right in the middle of the goal. Kabore stands over and lays off to Bance. However, the powerful striker can direct his effort on goal and the ball drifts wide for a Ghana goal kick.

71′
Yellow Card Derek Boateng

70′
Afful is played in on the right by Atsu from a quick free kick. He puts in a testing ball across the face of the Burkina Faso goal, which isn’t touched a rolls out of play for a goal kick. Had any Ghanian been on the end of that, it surely would’ve been 2-1.

69′
Afful goes to particularly easy from a Panandetiguiri challenge, with the Ghana man screaming for a penalty. Referee waves for play on, however.

68′
Bance is having a very good second half at present, but the extra playing time would surely have played a part on the Burkina Faso players. If Ghana can get their foot on the ball and begin to play, it surely won’t be long before they begin to overpower tonight’s opponents.

67′
Yellow Card Jonathan Pitroipa

66′
Bance is picked out by Kabore with a free kick from distance and he plays back to Pitroipa, who fires just wide. However, the Burkina Faso striker was just offside when the ball was played, so it wouldn’t have counted anyway.

64′
Nakoulma does well on the left after picking up the ball. He plays a lovely one-two with Kabore, but the Ghana defence can clear after a heavy touch from the former.

62′
The Burkina Faso fans will believe their side can go on and win this now. It remains to be seen whether Gyan will rue his miss in the 58th minute after hitting the post, but we’re set for extra time as things stand at present.

60′
Assist Charles Kaboré

60′
Goal Aristide Bancé

60′
Bance holds the ball up well on the right of the 18 yard box before playing in Pitroipa. The Burkina Faso man plays in a teasing ball to the back post, but it’s just out of reach for Kabore and Nakoulma

58′
And Gyan comes inches to within doubling Ghana’s advantage as the powerful frontman smashes against the inside of the post following a great ball from Atsu, before Burkina Faso can clear.

57′
Vorsah plays an excellent cross field pass for Asante. He looks to play in Asamoah with his first touch, but his ball through is easy for Diakite to gather.

55′
Moments later, the Burkina Faso striker wins a free kick which Kabore delivers. He picks out Koulibaly, but the powerful centre-back heads over.

54′
And from the resulting corner, Bance comes close to leveling early in the second half, but his header against the bar is held by Dauda with replays showing the ball didn’t cross the line.

53′
Pitroipa receives the ball on the right and looks to pick out a green shirt. His cross, however, is headed behind for a corner. Mubarak.

50′
Asante does well to get around Panandetiguiri, but the former is hauled down by the latter for a free kick. Lively start to the second half here.

Kabore picks up the ball on the left side of the Ghana box, but hesitates and the Burkina Faso attack breaks down.

47′
Substitution Mohammed Rabiu Derek Boateng

47′

46′
And we’re underway again at the Mbombela Stadium as Ghana win an early corner after Kone turns Atsu’s cross behind.

And that is half time here at the Mbombela Stadium with Ghana winning 1-0 over Burkina Faso following Mubarak’s controversial penalty.

45′ +2
Ghana have been very disciplined at the end of this half. Defensively solid towards the end of the half and turned away every Burkina Faso attack.

43′
Two minutes of the first half left to go and Ghana appear content to see this out until half time.

41′
Kabore again looks to play the ball in behind the backline, but strikes his pass against the head of Rabiu, who is forced off for some treatment. He looks OK to carry on, however.

39′
Atsu delivers an inch perfect pass into the Burkina Faso 18 yard box for Badu. The Ghana man gets his head to the ball, but can’t direct his effort on target and it results in a goal kick.

37′
Ghana push forward in numbers well and win themselves a throw in deep in the Burkina Faso half. Atsu receives the ball and crosses for Gyan. There is too much on the ball, but Asamoah. Collects be forces his way to the byline before pulling back for Badu, but his curled effort is deflected behind for a corner.

35′
Ghana go on the attack again, with Badu surrounded by defenders. He forces throw towards the right of the goal before being brought down by Koulibaly. No appeals, but it could easily have been a penalty for Ghana again this half.

33′
A little over half an hour gone and it’s Mubarak’s penalty that separates the two sides here at the Mbombela Stadium. Burkina Faso have had their chances and you get the impression that there are more goals in this.

31′
For Burkina Faso, Nakoulma is picked out perfectly by Kabore from 60 yards. The winger brings the ball down well, but lacks the composure and blasts over from just inside the 18 yard box, with Dauda’s goal gaping.

30′
Gyan is onside and bearing down in on Diakite’s goal from the right. His decision making is poor, however, and his effort is denied by the Burkina Faso ‘keeper, despite Mubarak waiting on the penalty spot for the pull back.

28′
At the other end, Bance and Nakoulma link up well on the edge of the Ghana 18 yard box, before the latter fires at goal. However, his shot is poor and the ball flies wide and out of play.

27′
Mubarak picks up the ball on the left wing and waits for his teammates to break into the 18 yard box. He looks to pick out a white shirt, but Kone does well to calmly chest back to Diakite.

26′
Bance plays a cross field pass to Nakoulma, but the winger miss controls and the ball rolls out for a Ghana throw in.

24′
At the other end, Kabore’s free kick is glanced behind for a corner. The cross is only partially cleared to Nakoulma, who controls well and volley’s just wide for Burkina Faso.

23′
Gyan holds up the ball well and the ball eventually finds its way back to Mubarak, who fires at goal. Diakite does well to deny the Ghanian, despite the ball bouncing just in front of the Burkina Faso ‘keeper.

22′
Kabore’s free kick is uncharacteristically poor and Ghana can clear.

21′
Nakoulma drives forward with the ball exceptionally well and wins Burkina Faso a free kick in a dangerous position following a foul from Rabiu.

19′
Credit to Burkina Faso; they could easily have capitulated following the Mubarak penalty, but they’re pressuring Ghana for every ball as they look to drag themselves back into the encounter.

17′
Badu is played in by Gyan on the right of the 18 yard box. The former drives towards goal, but the angle is narrowed by Kone and he smashes out of play for a Burkina Faso goal kick.

16′
Burkina Faso look to get the ball moving early after conceding, but Koffi’s ball is too powerful for Nakoulma and it’s a Ghana throw in.

14′
As things stand at present, it’ll be Ghana that will face Nigeria in Sunday’s final as Atsu fires a shot away at Diakite, only for the Burkina Faso to easily hold.

13′
Penalty Goal Wakaso
A soft penalty, at most, and Mubarak sends the ball into the right bottom corner, just out of reach of Diakite, who guessed the right way.

12′
And there is a penalty for Ghana. Atsu goes for a header from a long free kick and it looks as though there is nothing in it. However, the referee has pointed to the spot, with Panandetiguiri genuinely perplexed as to what has just happened.

11′
The impressive Koulibaly is picked out at the back post from the corner and he strikes for goal, only to see his effort strike a teammate and the ball goal for a goal kick.

10′
Substitution John Pantsil S. Asante

10′
Bance forces a corner off Vorsah.

9′
And another Ghana star has gone to ground after Kabore strikes the ball into the face of Rabiu. Looked painful, but he is expected to be able to carry on.

7′
Paintsil has pulled up clutching his hamstring after chasing down Panandetiguiri. The Ghana full-back is now being stretchered off as a result, unfortunately.

6′
Early penalty shout for Burkina Faso. Pitroipa surges into the Ghana 18 yard box and is barged into by Boye. Replays suggest it perhaps should’ve been a spot kick.

5′
Paintsil concedes a free kick around the halfway line following a foul on Pitroipa.

4′
Gyan does well to close down a Diakite clearance to force a Burkina Faso throw in deep in attacking territory.

3′
Fairly reserved opening couple of minutes as Bance fires the first shot of the encounter wide of the post for Burkina Faso.

1′
And it’s Burkina Faso who get us underway and they’ll be kicking from left to right in the first half.

And the two national anthems are now complete as we’re set to kick off here at the Mbombela Stadium.

We’re just minutes away from today’s second semi final.
