All Blacks triumphant in WC final
Auckland – Hosts New Zealand beat France 8-7 to win the rugby World Cup at Eden Park on Sunday and claim the Webb Ellis trophy for the first time since 1987.
Prop Tony Woodcock scored a 14th minute try to put the All Blacks 5-0 ahead and Stephen Donald’s penalty early in the second half extended the lead. France hit back with a try to Thierry Dusautoir.– Reuters
