American national convicted for economic crime

Magistrate Lamin Mbaye Snr of the Banjul Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday convicted and sentenced George Epps, an American national to pay a fine of D150, 312 plus D66, 115 in default to serve a two-year imprisonment term. The convict was earlier charged with three-counts of criminal offences ranging from economic crimes, conspiracy to commit felony and cheating, contrary to the Laws of The Gambia and his conviction came after he pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against him by the State…
