Giroud-Ozil Everton Mar2014Mesut Ozil was in fine form, as Arsenal progressed into the semi-finals of the FA Cup, with a thrilling 4-1 win over Everton at the Emirates on Saturday.

The German, who was booed off in mid-week during their 1-0 win over Chile in a friendly, opened the scoring from a neat through pass from Santi Cazorla. Everton found the equaliser before the break, after Ross Barkley’s fine cross was eventually turned in by Romelu Lukaku.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who made some good moves in the first half, was brought down in the box by Gareth Barry and Mark Clattenburg pointed to the spot. Mikel Arteta has to take the kick twice, but was successful on both occasions.

Bacary Sagna found Olivier Giroud in the box and he made it 3-1, before getting in on the end of some sizzling Arsenal football to put the tie beyond the Toffees.
