At least eight people were killed in fresh clashes in Kenya’s coastal Tana Delta region, an area where more than 100 people died in a series of attacks earlier this year, local media said on Friday.
There were conflicting reports in the Kenyan media, with the death toll reported between eight and 15. The police and the Red Cross are yet to comment on the clashes which are said to have taken place during a dawn raid.
During three weeks of brutal tribal clashes in August and September, more than 100 people were shot, hacked and burnt to death as two tribes fought over land and water in the Tana Delta region. Reuters
