Azeez to remain at Almeria
Super Eagles midfielder, Ramon Azeez, will spend at least another season at Spanish La Liga side Almeria, africanFootball.com reports.
The 21-year-old midfielder featured at the2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and was reported to be a top target of English Premier League side Swansea City this summer.
However, he still has two more years left on his contract with the modest La Liga outfit and a very close confidant of the former U-17 and U-20 star has now revealed Azeez will feature for Almeria in the coming season.
“Ramon still has two years left on his contract and he has told me he will at least play in the coming season for the club,” the top source informed aFricanFootball.com
“We then just have to wait and see what happens thereafter.”
Almeria barely escaped relegation from La Liga last season with Azeez, drafted in from the reserves, recording crucial goals and assists in the process.
He played a total of 32 matches and scored two goals.
