Mario Balotelli’s turbulent Manchester City career is over after the club confirmed the controversial striker has completed his move to Milan.
Balotelli, who passed a medical on Thursday morning, joined City in 2010, making 80 appearances and scoring 30 goals.
The 22-year-old, who pulled out of the City squad on Tuesday evening before the 0-0 draw at QPR as the deal neared fruition, said when he arrived in Italy on Wednesday: “I’ve wanted to play for Milan for such a long time. Obviously I played for other teams and couldn’t come. But when there was the chance, I ran.”
Balotelli was presented with a team shirt at the airport bearing his name and his squad number 45, the same number he wore at first club Internazionale and at City.
