BREAKING: Mimiko concludes plan to join PDP; holds meetings with aides, LP leaders
According to competent sources, Mimiko, who is the National leader of the Labour Party (LP) was said to have met five leaders of LP, each from the 18 local government areas of the state on the need to join the PDP.
The sources added that Mimiko is currently holding meeting with his political aides, today Friday, particularly with his commissioners.
Mimiko was appointed as the State Secretary to the Government (SSG) by the late Governor Olusegun Agagu and he was later appointed as Minister.
He dumped the party for the LP in 2006 to contest the governorship seat against Agagu, who was PDP candidate in 2007 general elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) under the leadership of Prof. Maurice Iwu declared late Agagu as the winner of the poll but Mimiko, who was not satisfied with the result approached the tribunal, where he was declared the winner of the election.
It will be recall that DailyPost, few months ago, reported that the Presidency has directed Mimiko to declare for PDP before Jonathan declares his interest to contest the presidential election.
