CBU Strike Enters Day 6

CBUThe strike action by unionized workers at the Copperbelt University has entered day six with students getting more agitated and threatening to take to the streets.

Government has not yet delivered on their promise that K5 million had been released for the payment of the August salaries.

The over 800 workers among them lecturers have staged a sit in protest that has entered the six day and have vowed to stay away from work until their salaries are paid.

Students who have had no classes have indicated that should the industrial action drag on they will be forced to take to the streets where they are notorious for stoning cars to air their grievances.
