Chicken impeachment: My removal will not stand- Former Enugu Deputy Governor
Former Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi has faulted his removal by the Enugu State House of Assembly, maintaining that the impeachment will not stand before the law.
Onyebuchi was removed on Tuesday by the State lawmakers for operating a poultry farm at his official residence.
However, speaking to journalists few hours after his removal, the former Deputy Governor said he was heading to court to challenge his removal.
While expressing confidence that the court will reinstate him, he advised his successor not to operate a poultry house but to rear ostriches, monkeys and cows.
He made the statement in an apparent reference to his earlier testimony before the 7-man impeachment panel that tried him, where he had stated that Governor Chime reared monkeys, ostriches and other animals at the Government House.
