Press Statement: At the resumed hearing today in FCT High Court before Justice Oniyangi Mudashiru, the Court dismissed the application by Jonathan for a deeming order and only granted him extension of time to regularise his processes until close of work today.

Counsel to Njoku, Osuagwu Ugochukwu had earlier opposed the application of Jonathan for a deeming order citing violation of Order 8 Rule 10 FCT High Court Civil Procedure Rules 2004.

The matter was adjourned to June 21 2012 for hearing of both the Preliminary objection and Substantive matter.

Earlier in Court today, Jonathan’s Counsel SAN Okeaya-Inneh had approached Counsel to Cyriacus Njoku to know if they are still going to settle but which was turned down by the Plaintiff who insisted Jonathan has to step down after end of his current and last term in office.
