Lusaka-high-court-big-pixPatriotic Front Zambezi West candidate Christabel Ng’imbu has for the fourth time failed to block the candidature of UPND’s Charles Kakoma in the September 11 by-election.

Ng’imbu’s hopes came to a crashing end after the Supreme Court sitting in Ndola threw out her application as lacking merit.

Nine Supreme Court judges led by acting Deputy Chief Justice Marvin Mwanamwambwa threw out Ng’imbu’s application leaving her to face Kakoma despite her four attempts to strike him off the ballot.

Ng’imbu wanted Kakoma to be barred for five years from standing on account that his seat was nullified by the High Court.

The Supreme Court ruled that the poll will go on as planned on September 11.
