Doing it for the elderly, doing it for me

We are often taught that doing something good in someone’s life will make a difference to them. For example, if you help someone paint their home – they will have a home that looks beautiful and you would have contributed to that beauty and the joy it brings them. What we don’t really bank on though is the impact that a single selfless action can have on us.

The SA Government News Agency is a news service, published by the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS). The people of South Africa have a right to information, irrespective of their class, colour or creed. The Government has a mandate to ensure that its entire people have access to information. In order to make this possible, was established to provide quick and easy access to articles and feature stories aimed at keeping the public informed about the implementation of government's mandate.

An achievement of note for was the clinching of a National Productivity Institute (NPI) Merit Award, in 2000, in recognition of the work it has done in disadvantaged communities.
