Durban prostitute's missing head found in Chatsworth

JOHANNESBURG – The missing head of a woman who was killed at the the Shallcross Stadium in Chatsworth, KwaZulu-Natal has been found, read a statement by the SAPS on Saturday.

The head was found in Imfume on the south coast on Friday while her body had been discovered a week before.

“On Thursday Chatsworth police detained six suspects including a woman and a traditional healer.

Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni said, “I want to congratulate Detectives at Chatsworth for breaking open this case so swiftly.

“It is shocking that a woman has been killed in such a barbaric manner while we are celebrating women’s month.

“Even more disturbing is that a women was involved in this brutal murder. We will ensure that we do everything that is within our own control to bring the culprits to book.”

The suspects aged between 18 and 32 years will be charged witth murder and are expected to appear in the Chatsworth Magistrates Court on August 25, 2014.
