BY Yakubu Salisu. Kano
In its efforts to prevent the spread of the deadly Ebola virus, the Executive Governor of Kano State Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso in collaboration with the state House Of Assembly has vowed to stop the sale of bush meat in Kano.
The governor made this known over the weekend saying the state commissioner for health Doc. Abubakar Labaran as well as commissioners of environment and agriculture respectively should as a matter of facts visit all the places where bush meat are sold in the state to make assessments and submit their findings next week.
Kwankwaso further stressed that the state indigenes desist from eating bush meat whether in the state or outside the state so as to avoid the risk of exposing one’s self the deadly Ebola virus.
The governor said “should the findings reveal any danger or threat, there will be no option left than to stop the sale of Bush meat in the State”.
