Ethiopia: Over 20 injured during ethnic clashes between Addis Ababa University students

Protest sparked at the College of Natural Sciences, Arat Kilo Campus of the Addis Ababa University. According to our sources in Addis Ababa, The main cause of the protest is due to an ethnic derogatory poster against Oromo-ethnic students placed at the College’s main Library and two other places.

So far, more than 20 students from the conflicting ethnic groups were wounded and were taken to government hospitals. On the other hand Police have accused several students of causing damage to university property, including broken windows and doors.
