Ethiopian Airlines takes precautions to control Ebola outbreak
Ethiopian Airlines, which operates an extensive flight network connecting West African countries to other parts of the world, has announced that it has put in place precautions to combat Ebola, which is currently spreading in Western Africa states.
In as statement sent to news rooms the airlines said it has taken the lead in taking extraordinary precautions in connection with the outbreak of the disease in some parts of West Africa saying it already implemented measures to ensure the maximum extent safety of its customers and staff.
“The safety and well-being of our customers and staff always come first, staff have been sensitized and trained so that they avoid coming into contact with bodily fluids while doing their work,” read part of the statement sent to the newsrooms.

The statement also noted that continuous monitoring updates from the World Health Organization and other international bodies are received and implemented through health awareness campaign.
Specific surveillance is also being carried out regarding all flights from West Africa at Addis
Kenya airways has suspended its flights to west Africa Ebola hit states to control the spread of the disease that has already claimed more than a thousand lives.
