Ex- Kogi commissioner dies in auto crash

The immediate past Commissioner for Education in Kogi State, Mrs. Grace Elebiyo, died in a car crash along Kabba-Okene road on Wednesday.

The late commissioner before the accident participated in Governor Idris Wada’s ongoing “thank you” tour of Kabba.

The accident, The Nation gathered was caused by over speeding on the part of the driver who happened to be the late commissioner’s son.

The son, Olu Elebiyo, who sources said just took up the task of driving her mum, is presently receiving treatment at the Specialist Hospital, Lokoja.

According to sources, Governor Wada who was returning from the same function saw the accident and stopped to render assistance by directing the ambulance in his convoy to take the former commissioner and her son to the hospital. But she died before getting to the hospital.
