FG mulls transport option for airport passengers
The Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, has said the ministry will partner with the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to provide alternative transportation for passengers from the airport.
In a statement issued on Friday, the minister said the provision of transport option will reduce travelling cost and increase option of services to passengers.
He said this will be done by bringing in registered buses to provide regular services at the airport alongside car hire service.
This arrangement was made when the national officials of the NURTW visited him in Abuja.
The minster, who complained about the situation where passengers pay high fare from the airport to their destination because of lack of mobility option, said it was unacceptable and negates global standard of operation.
