Four Cameroonian cyclists disqualified
Four Cameroonian cyclists have been disqualified from the ongoing international cycling tour of Cameroon for violating the regulations of the International Cycling Union. The cyclists are Eric Kuissi, Yannick Lontsi, Franklin Nguimkem and Dieunedort Sando Simo.
According to sources close to the tour’s Organising Committee, the four cyclists all belong to the team of the national hydrocarbons company (SNH velo-club). They were representing another team, la Régionale du Centre, in violation of the union’s regulations.
The first stage of the tour on March 9 was won by Dutch Patrik Kos over a distance of 150km between Ebolowa (in the South) and Yaoundé.
