Militiamen raped a school student in Sirba locality, West Darfur on Friday. On Sunday, three women, including a minor, were gang-raped in East Jebel Marra.

The coordinator of the Sirba camps told Radio Dabanga that on Friday evening a group of “government-backed militiamen” kidnapped a secondary school student (16) from her house in the area of Kout, in the eastern part of Sirba locality, and raped her alternately.

“On Sunday morning, a group of gunmen in three vehicles, and about 20 others assaulted three women, one of them 17 years-old, while they were tending their farmlands in the area south of Danobo El Omda in East Jebel Marra”, a farmer told Radio Dabanga.

“They gang raped the women. We found them on their farms in a desperate condition, and brought them home, as there is no medical care at all in the area.”
