Fugitive US intelligence leaker Edward Snowden applies for asylum in Russia

Criminal US brainpower leaker Edward Snowden has requisitioned provisional refuge in Russia, authorities say.
The Federal Migration Service affirmed he had finished the important paperwork at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo runway, where he has been for as long as three weeks.
Mr Snowden is needed by the US for leaking details of government surveillance programmes.
He has no travel documents, so has been unable take up asylum offers from various Latin American states.
“He arrived at the conclusion that he ought to compose a application for provisional refuge, and this strategy has barely been carried out,” said Anatoly Kucherena, an attorney with solid connects with the Kremlin who helped Mr Snowden with the paperwork.
