I want to attend Law School, says Omawumi
SENSATIONAL singer, Omawumi Megbele, has revealed plans to attend the Nigeria Law School, several years after she graduated from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, with a degree in Law.
“I do intend to go to the Law School. I just want to see this through to a certain extent. Right now, I’m tilting towards live music, not a 100 percent mainstream,” she was quoted to have said.
The mother of one also reportedly revealed that she might be getting married to the father of her child, Kamillah, sometime in 2015 in a low-key ceremony.
The energetic singer is not the first established artiste who has expressed a desire to return to school. Only recently, a number of Nollywood stars were offered admission for various first degree courses at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). They include Ini Edo, Doris Simeon, Desmond Elliot and Chika ‘Chief Zebrudaya’ Okpala.
Omawumi, also an actress, is a brand ambassador for Globacom, Konga.com and Malta Guinness. She is also part of the campaign called Rise with the Energy of Africa.
