imageThe Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) World Wide has flayed the recent attack on President Goodluck Jonathan by the All Progressives Congress, APC, that has described Jonathan as “the most incompetent Nigerian leader ever, clueless and suffering from inferiority complex.”

IYC said APC’s statement on Jonathan was disappointing as it was coming from a leading opposition party in the country.

“It is uncultured and disrespectful for the opposition APC to so insult the occupant of the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the Ijaw youths spokesman, Eric Omare, said in a statement on Friday.

“Every Nigerian, irrespective of his political affiliation, is duty bound and ought to respect the office of the President and the occupant of the office,” he added.

IYC in its reaction advised the party to engage in meaningful opposition by providing alternative solutions to national problems, instead of hauling abuses on the person and office of Mr. President.
