It’s A Shame to Parade DCs – Bulaya

Former Mpongwe District Commissioner Rasford Bulaya says it was unfortunate that District Commissioners were now being used as campaign agents for the ruling Patriotic Front.

Bulaya said things had generated to such a level where District Commissioners had lost their sense of shame and were shamelessly being paraded at political party rallies.

He said there is a complete breakdown of law and order.

“The trend right now is that District Commissioners have been abused, we have seen District Commissioners paraded at political rallies which in my view is a wrong move,” Bulaya said.

“District Commissioners are civil servants whose salaries are being paid by government, if anything they are not supposed to be partisan, because they are supposed to represent all Zambians regardless of political affiliation, religious affiliation.”
