Jobs Summit successfully launched

MASERU – The Right Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Motsoahae Thabane today launched a Jobs Summit Process with the purpose of conveying important opportunity in order to adopt strategies that will help to create jobs.
In his keynote speech, Dr. Thabane said, “Our introspection points to urgent need for change. In its wisdom, the electorate of Lesotho chose a coalition of fresh minds which would have the courage to assess what has worked and what has not.”
Following the address of the Prime Minister, his Deputy Prime Minister Mothetjoa Metsing pointed that investors expect the government to remove excessive bureaucracy and the red tape, then some taxes over regulation, corruption, increase transparency and build effective proficient institutions.
Speaking on behalf of Honourable Minister of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation, chief Thesele ‘Maseribane who is currently on sick leave, Honourable Minister of Home Affairs Joang Molapo called on everyone to commit positively, productively to the initiative of job creation. He further noted that there is a need to critically examine the way operation has been done and find a new way to tackle challenges and tack the opportunities at hand.
