Kalusha BwalyaCelebrated Zambian soccer star Kalusha Bwalya has responded to corruption investigations by the country’s Anti Corruption agency following revelations he received US$ 80, 000 in bribes.

FIFA, which normally loathes at what it terms government interferences of its officials, has given the Anti Corruption Commission green light to investigate Kalusha for the alleged bribe from Qatari Mohammed Bin Hammam.

The FAZ president was this morning engaged in a twitter exchange with an ordinary follower describing the reports as “bullshit”

He later deleted his sentiments to end what would have turned out into a backlash.

However, Kalusha then gave a clear indication he will not co-operate with Zambian authorities intending to investigate his corruption in Zambian football.

He said; “[I] Won’t answer to no body. [I’m] Not answerable to No body. Only to Elective FAZ Council some time in March 2016. I try to be busy. No time to waste.”

Kalusha’s twitter effectively confirms he was not ready to waste his time by answering to any corruption charge but will only face councillors during the FAZ elections in 2016.

He is widely known to buy votes by distributing cash to mostly poverty stricken officials from rural areas and lower league teams that make up the FAZ council.

Kalusha ignores the fact that he is also answerable to the FAZ council in 2015 which comes a year before the elective assembly but matters of finances are discussed annually.

There are manouvers by Kalusha and his surrogates to stay as FAZ president for life.
