Kogi specialist hospital is isolation centre
A part of the Kogi State Specialist Hospital in Lokoja, the state capital, has been designated as an isolation centre to handle any likely outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).
Information Commissioner, Hajia Zainab Okino, spoke yesterday in Lokoja after the weekly State Executive Council (Ecxo) meeting.
She said though there had not been any reported case of the disease in the state, the government was being proactive on the matter.
Mrs Okino urged the people to maintain a high standard of hygiene, adding that the government was working hard to ensure that the state does not have an outbreak of the disease.
