Koscielny signs new Arsenal deal
Manager Arsene Wenger confirmed in his Thursday press conference, that the French defender was close to penning an improved contract to stay at the Emirates.
Koscielny has made 48 appearances for the Gunners this season, striking a formidable understanding with Per Mertesacker in central defence and the pair have kept 15 clean sheets together.
“I am very proud to have reached agreement with the club on a new contract,” he told the club’s official website.
“I have enjoyed four great years at Arsenal already, and I look forward to continuing to help the team in the years to come.”
Wenger added: “Laurent has proven himself to be an outstanding player since joining us in 2010 and has showed his quality once again this season. I am delighted he has decided to commit his future to the Club.”
Koscielny moved to England in 2010 from Ligue 1 side Lorient.
