Kwara Hospital Shut Over Ebola Scare

The Kwara State government yesterday ordered the immediate closure of a private hospital in Ilorin, the state capital, over a suspected Ebola Virus contamination.
The Chairman, State Implementation Committee on Control of Ebola Epidemic, Professor Sunday Opabola, announced the closure in Ilorin on Thursday while addressing journalists over an alleged case of outbreak of the virus in the state.

Opabola, who is also the Senior Special Assistant on Primary Health Care to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed,  said the closure became imperative in view of the seven-month-old  baby suspected with the virus in the hospital.
