Liverpool scouts eye Dele Alli
Teenage Dele Alli, another wonderkid to emerge from MK Dons’ academy, could also be a Liverpool player in the coming days, if reports from express.co.uk are anything to go by.
The 18-year-old was a mainstay in the Dons XI last season, making 37 appearances and scoring seven goals.
Alli, an exciting prospect is the rave of the moment at the club’s preseason matches, setting up his team mates and tormenting the opposition defenders.
He will be an exciting prospect in the English Premier League as he is a direct and mobile player.
According to SL10, Alli fired in a brace as MK Dons thrashed St. James’s Gate 6-0 in their first pre-season game of the 2014/2015 campaign on Monday, July 14.
With Chief Scout of Liverpool, Barry Hunter, having watched him in action in the past, it appears the interest in him is genuine.
Alli stands over six feet tall but is described as being comfortable on the ball by technocrats of the round leather game.
MK Dons’ chief Karl Robinson has already described Alli as ‘special’ but says he remains prone to the odd error.
The box-to-box midfielder was also on the radar of Manchester United in the past, as reported by SL10.
