Manchester United Show Interest In Alex Song Again
Manchester United manager, David Moyes has showed interested in Barcelona’s Cameroonian midfielder, Alex Song again after failing to sign him last summer.
According to reports from a Spanish sport newspaper, Manchester United have asked Barcelona to name their price for Alex Song after failing to sign the midfielder last year.
Moyes who is out to revamp his struggling United squad, sees Song as a cornerstone to his new plan to build a strong United.
The deal is likely to go through since Song who moved to Barcelona, lacks playing time and is starting to grow tired of his bit-part role under Gerardo Martino and so might consider a move to Old Trafford.
Although no price is speculated for Song, it is likely Barcelona will look to claim most of the £15m they paid Arsenal to bring him to the Nou Camp. Thanks to a lack of playing time, it is likely his valuation has fallen over the last 18 months.
Song signed a five-year contract with FC Barcelona on August 20, 2012 and has since then finds it difficult to bench Busquet. Also, since joining the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in 2005, he has made a total of 39 appearances for the Lions and is yet to score for his country.
