Missing Emir of Gwoza returns alive

emir of gwozaAlhaji Mohammed Timta , The Emir of Gwoza in Borno, who was declared missing when Boko Haram insurgents invaded his territory last week has come back alive and sound.

Mike Omeri, Coordinator, National Information Centre, established this in Abuja on Tuesday.

DailyPost learnt that the traditional ruler resurfaced on Tuesday morning in Gwoza.

Omeri, who gave an update on the security situation in the North East, said operations by the military to eradicate the insurgents from the area were in high spirit. He thereby urged politicians not to put up the agenda of deadline when the government was working tirelessly to end insurgency in the country.

He went ahead to also warn those who are in the habit of running errands for the terrorists to discontinue such.

He said, “We wish to restate that terror against one person or country is terror against all; thus individuals who run errands for insurgents must be considered enemy of the people.’’
