The current controversy trailing the news on President Jonathan administration ordering 53 golden iphones as reported by the UK daily Independent Media has been put to rest. In an edition of their paper to correct the mistake, they wrote, “In an earlier version of this article, the founder of Gold and Co

claimed the Nigerian government had ordered 53 gold iphones. He now informs the Independent Online that the order in fact came from an individual in Nigeria. We are happy to make this correction”

We had earlier reported on the exchange of mails between this reporter an Gold and Co were they denied ever making such statement to the UK paper, but said it was a private individual who had ordered the product.
