Lesotho AYCFollowing Lesotho’s failure to arrive in Nigeria for their 2015 African Youth Championship qualifier, the Flying Eagles have qualified for the competition that will hold in Senegal.

The South African team cited the outbreak of Ebola in the country, as why they could not make the trip, which means the Nigerian U-20 side walked over them.

“Congratulations Nigeria on this qualification,” Nigeria’s coach Manu Garba said.

“We trained very hard in the last two months for this match and we would really have been a lot happier had we qualified for the AYC on the pitch and not in the boardroom.

“It was a bit of a disappointment that Lesotho failed to turn up, but there was nothing we could have done about that, he concluded.
