The Nigeria Football Federation are in talks with a couple of Portuguese club sides to see the possibility of having the Super Eagles play at least another friendly after Wednesday’s duel with Cape Verde.
Futaa.com gathered that the ongoing talks have been thus fruitful hence there is the high likelihood of seeing the final Eagles squad test their might with a yet to be named Portuguese side.
A close source in Faro,Portugal camp of the Eagles told futaa.com that the Super Coach Stephen Keshi is open to the idea.
“Officials of the NFF having been talking to some teams here but nothing has been made public yet, there are strong indications the Eagles will play one more friendly here in Portugal before they jet-out to South Africa,” a close source in the Eagles camp told futaa.com.
According to the schedule the Eagles are billed to storm South Africa on January 16 in time for their group opener with the Stallions of Burkina Faso who only on Tuesday named an all foreign-based 23-man squad for AFCON 2013.
