Most champions receive a trophy – or a cash bonus.hi-res-160040151_crop_exact

But at the African Cup of Nations, an international soccer tournament featuring the continent’s top 16 teams, at least one the nations has been offered something it’s much more difficult to put a price to – sex.

After topping African giants the Ivory Coast on Saturday, a win that put Nigeria into the competition’s quarterfinals for the first time since 2010, Nigeria’s Association of prostitutes – yes, apparently they are unionized – presented the Nigerian squad an offer in writing.

“We want to congratulate the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, for qualifying for the next round of the competition,” the sex workers told YNaija.com, an internet news outlet for Nigerians.

“To show our support for the national team, we’ll be declaring one week free sex if the Super Eagles can win the trophy.”

The Nigerians next face Mali in Durban, South Africa, on Wednesday. A win will see them move on to face the winner of Burkina Faso-Ghana in the tournament’s final for a chance at claiming the African title for the first time since 1994.

According to YNaija.com, there are already ANP members with the team in South Africa “supporting” the national team.
