NPP Holds Crunch Meeting Over Okaikoi North Elections
The National Elections Committee of the New PatrioticParty (NPP) is meeting to review the party’s just ended polling station, constituency and regional executive elections.
According to Director of Election for the NPP, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah the meeting will also discuss the decision by some 12 aspirants in the Okaikoi North Constituency to challenge Sunday’s election.
The aggrieved aspirants say there were clear violations of the party’s constitution.
Mr. Mensah Korsah told Citi News “the Committee will among other things, look at the Okaikoi North Constituency issue which has been brought to the Committee’s attention,”.
He added that “I can assure you that a decision will be taken on that constituency after the meeting.”
The NPP goes to congress on March 1st this year to elect national officers who will steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.
