Football - 2014 CAF African Nations Championships - Nigeria v South Africa - Cape TownFormer skipper of the Nigerian senior team, Henry Nwosu, has told coach of the Super Eagles Stephen Keshi, not to be caught up in the temptation of having players imposed on him, when he is ready to make his final selection for the World Cup.

Nwosu further stressed that the level of success Nigeria achieves at the tournament, will boil down to the quality of players Keshi invites.

“I am still waiting for Keshi to release his final list of players for the World Cup because this will determine Nigeria’s success in Brazil,” Nwosu told The Guardian.

“Keshi should be very careful and vigilant at this point to avoid some people imposing players on him.

“He has enough players to pick from, but I think he understands that the caliber of players taken to Brazil will determine his failure or success in the competition.”

Nwosu also advised Keshi not to make players feel as if they have automatic shirts in the team and encouraged him to pick from the best Nigeria has both at home and abroad.
