M'membeIt is definitely not our intention to continue dragging the deserved fall from grace of Wynter Kabimba following his sacking by President Michael Sata on Thursday.

However, given the heavy propagandist stance taken by the chief mourner Post Newspapers Editor Fred M’membe, we are compelled to once again straighten a few issues on this matter.

If there is one thing that does not sit well with M’membe, it is the realization that he has been outwitted by a class of people he considers intellectually low and their only claim to power is corruption and tribe.

M’membe can’t stand the fact that Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, Willie Nsanda and to some extent Alexander Chikwanda among others will have a greater say in the affairs of the Patriotic Front than his now crumbled A-Team that had at its core Kabimba, Sylvia Masebo, Director of Public Prosecution Mutembo Nchito and the dodgy Guy Scott (who has since gotten on with his life).

Somehow M’membe had hoped that after sending Kabimba to parliament, where they had installed their stooge as Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini the once upon a time respected lawyer to remove the immunity of former President Rupiah Banda, he was putting the pieces for his final takeover albeit through a puppet.

This ‘educated’ M’membe clique at least they like to imagine they are the only ones with wisdom and opinions ahead of 13 million plus Zambians were paving the way for the takeover of the PF.

These same tribalists and corrupt individuals are the people that breathed life in the PF long before M’membe had belatedly come on board.

They are the people that risked life and limb to ensure that one President Michael Sata gets into State House. Of course we are not oblivious to the fact that M’membe despises humble beginnings. He can’t stand the fact that other Zambians can have more money than him or can have more influence than him.

Even the globally respected Professor Muna Ndulo may today be cursing his moment of lapse when his insightful article in The Post in the Chansa Kabwela case where his reference to Comedy of Errors became a household phrase that formed the backbone of the pornography case. But today everything he says is ignored completely by M’membe’s Post.

But the same M’membe who despises these men of humble education is today clamouring for the attention of the humbly educated President Sata from whose hard work M’membe has reaped so many contracts.

Did not Sata win because of his connection with these same and ‘tribalistic’ citizens that M’membe seeks to ridicule?

Did not people like GBM risk their businesses and lives by leaving the comfort of MMD while M’membe was lying beneath the comfort of his editorial desk?

Is it not Chishimba Kambwili who risked arrest and went to State House to protest the plight of miners in Luanshya?

These men are by no means angels but to demonize them merely on account of tribe is unacceptable. When did M’membe realize that they are a corrupt bunch?

Has he not been one of their strongest defenders? No matter how many Bible passages brother M’membe quotes, the truth remains he has laid his hypocrisy for all to see.

Maybe it is time to leave the audience, though unfortunately no one is clapping anymore. Or is it a classic case of the naked emperor? Please sir get a life, there are more ways to channel your useful energy to than surely flogging dead horses.

Wynter had it coming from the day he went to bed with you. Look at the long list of politicians you have deceived on account of front page headlines George Mpombo, Mike Mulongoti, James Lukuku, Eric Chanda, Lameck Mangani and the adulterer in chief Father Richard Luonde to mention but a few.
