Oyo govt. to recruit 250 teachers
The Oyo State Government said on Wednesday that it would employ 250 teachers for its primary and junior secondary schools.
Dr Busari Adebisi, the Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), said this in an interview with the NAN in Ibadan.
He said the state government was moved by the shortage of teachers, especially in Oke Ogun area.
“By this, all the 33 local governments in the state are to commence recruitment exercises.
“With the scarcity of teachers in Oke Ogun area, each local government outside Ibadan is to recruit 60 teachers, while those in Ibadan are to recruit 40 each,” he said.
Adebisi said to stabilise teaching and learning in the state, teachers would be posted to their respective local government areas.
