Home/English/Parliament Sessions Resume After Alshabaab’s Attack

Posted onMay 31, 2014byinSomalia swears in a new parliament.

Mareeg.com- After the Alshabaab’s attack at the parliament on 24th May, the parliament members convene today to resume sessions as usual.
It is clear that they are back to business. However, this is the first session after the attack. On the
day of the attack the parliamentarians were debating on a recent agreement between
the Ministry of Defense and the Italian Government.

The reasons as to why there were no other sessions before this since the attack was because of a security concern
and renovations which were being done to the parliament building. However, no
one knows yet what the agendas of today’s session will be. As we go to press,
most of the members of the house were summoned and are present there in order
to be part of the session.  Dalsanradio.com
