Katsina State Working Committee of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema even as it expressed satisfaction with the state House of Assembly for making people-centred legislation.

Speaking when he led members of the committee on a visit to the state assembly, Katsina State PDP chairman, Rabiu Gambo Bakori, said the party was proud to be associated with the programmes and policies of the state government.

Bakori insisted that the administration of Governor Shema had brought “tremendous improvement, growth and indeed, betterment in the lives of the citizenry,” stressing that the PDP deemed it necessary to pass the vote of confidence as a mark of appreciation.

He said the state has witnessed development in every sector under the leadership of PDP and urged citizens and residents of the state to support the party.

He said the state assembly under the leadership of Yau Umar Gojo-Gojo “had been a source of pride to not just our party but the good people of Katsina State who elected you because of the way and manner in which you continue to carry on with your constitutional duties.”

Responding, the speaker of Katsina State House of Assembly, Yau Umar Gojo-Gojo said the assembly was able to discharge its responsibilities because of the support it enjoys in the state from leadership of the party.
