Vernon MwaangaVeteran politician Vernon Mwaanga says it is a tragedy that the Patriotic Front government has failed to give Zambians a people driven constitution despite having promised.

Mwaanga urged the Zambians never to tire from demanding a people driven constitution as it was their right.

The PF government has gone cold on the constitution making constitution despite having pledged to deliver it within 90 days of assuming power.

“I don’t see that there is political will on the part of the PF to give Zambians a people driven constitution before 2016 as they promised,” he said.

“It is a great tragedy that the PF has been unable to give the people of Zambia a people driven constitution. The PF is not interested in dialogue but there is need for dialogue on the matter among the civil society, church and political parties.”

Mwaanga said citizens were not slowing down on their demand for a new constitution.

“The PF should expect citizens to continue agitating for a new constitution maybe if they see an outpouring of emotions, they may just have a change of heart and deliver a people driven constitution,” Mwaanga said.
